There are millions of blogs on the internet. A lot of them are great, some of them are not. Some people do not know what a blog is, but when you see the potential of what a blog can do for you, I’ll guarantee you’ll want to use it…

What is a Blog?

A blog is a internet diary, sort of say, it’s a communication tool that you use to keep your readers, customers, or potential subscribers up to date and allow them to be able to interact with you, it’s also known as a weblog and it’s a very powerful tool you can use for personal or for business, but in this case, it’s all about blog marketing.

I have to admit, before I was not a fan of blogs, I thought that they didn’t work and was a waste of time. That’s because I did not know the real potential of a blog, and since I have been blogging, it has been producing tremendous results.

So what can a blog be used for?

A blog can be used for anything. Wether it’s a personal blog about your life, or just a blog about your business, a blog is meant to keep your target audience informed about your product or service, or it can just provide great helpful information, like I do on my blog.

It’s all about the content that your blog gives…

Content is king. People come to your blog because of the content that you share with them. Quality helpful information that they can use to help them in they’re business, just like what I’m giving you right now, it’s only designed to help your target market and either create readers, subscribers, signups or sales.

I love to give content, it’s all I know, and that’s why I have hundreds of repeat visitors each day, they come back because they know that I will share some very useful marketing tips, strategies and tactics to help them grow and expand their business.

How can a blog direct traffic to your websites?

Simple. Search engines love regularly updated content that is useful and has a value to it. Since a blog is a website that is regularly updated, search engines look at it as a authority site and you can get a really good ranking in them. I am listed for many different keywords in my blog that continually drives me traffic, just imagine what this can do for your business.

You will be able to create signups, sales, subscribers and return visitors and customers that trust your content, trust your recommendations, and that’s what it’s all about, making your visitors and subscribers happy, it’s all about them, if it helps them, they’ll come back to you for more and even recommend new visitors to your website.

So, what you want to do is continually post. I say to post atleast 1 time a day, if you can do 3 that’s great, some days you won’t get to post if you have a busy schedule and that’s ok, just continue when you can. Search engines will always come back to crawl your website and when it’s updated often, they will index it more, therefore increasing your reach to your target market.

Always post quality and up to date topics on your blog, remember it’s designed to be helpful to your visitors, and updated to keep them informed and coming back for more, once you start doing that, I guarantee you will start to get authority in the search engines and start driving more traffic to your websites.
