3 Ways To Skyrocket Your Website Conversion…

By Terrance Charles |

As marketers, one of the biggest challenges we face is making our website convert, it doesn’t matter if you have thousands of visitors coming to your website, if it doesn’t convert, it doesn’t make you money, and it needs to be fixed. I’m going to share with you 3 tips that will increase your conversion.

So how do I boost my website conversion?

#1Title – This is the MOST important factor to any website. This is the breaking point, it’s where people decide if they are going to stay on your website or leave it and go do something else.

Your title must be attention grabbing, there are many different ways to use titles, it can be in the form of a story, it can be in the form of news, or in the form of a announcement or controversial topic, that will get people to stay glued to your website.

You have to be able to split test your titles. Your title can mean the difference in hundreds to thousands of dollars in one change, it’s the BIGGEST introduction for your webpage, so you want to test different ones.

- Here is some examples of different kinds

News – Terrance Charles does it again, did you hear?

Story – It all started when I met Terrance Charles…

Curiosity – These 3 secrets change my life forever…

Controversial – Terrance Charles Tells Truth on IM…

These are just examples, but you can see the kind of effect they have, so once you have a great headline that describes what your website is about and why it will benefit your readers to continue and stay on your page, your conversion rate has just jumped for keeping people on your website.

You can change color, fonts, highlights or no highlights. I like to use Tahoma, Georgia, and Verdana, these are great fonts when used for headlines, there easy to read and has better spacing to keep your title merged into one. Also, you can underline or highlight the main points in your headline that will put more emphasis and stick into your visitors mind.

#2Web Copy/Navigation – Very important. Your title is supposed to grab attention and keep your visitors on your site. Your web copy and your navigation is the second most important step.

Your web copy needs to follow up with your title, just like your title it has to keep your visitors reading, using bullet points with benefits and even video will help increase your conversion rate, the more you can form a relationship with your visitors, the better the response, in this stage, they are just getting to know what you are about and what your product it about, so your first impression is key.

Make sure that your navigation is easy to follow. I recommend no more than 10 links, after 10 links it starts to confuse your visitors in which action they should take. It’s important to use examples, such as your proof of payments, money back guarantee etc.

Remember one factor, when you are writing your web copy, write it just like you are sitting down at the bar talking to someone, use emotion, make sure it’s able to form a picture in your visitors mind, because when they read your sales copy, it’s being read in their voice, their thoughts, so you want to personalize it for them, make it persuasive and it will keep them on your website.

#3Call To Action – This is the make it or break it point. No matter how good your title is, or how good your web copy is, if you do NOT have a clear call to action, your potential customers will be confused on what decision to make.

You need to state “Order Here” or “Limited Time Special” if you are selling a product with a limited time or limited buyers. The call to action is what it’s all about, your title and web copy kept them glued to the page, now it’s time to get them to take that all in and whip out their credit card and order.

Wether your website purpose is to subscribe, signup, purchase, the call to action is the most important part, it’s either they buy or don’t buy, subscribe or don’t subscribe, signup or don’t signup, and if everything is presented properly, it will make it easier for them to do this, you want to make it as easy as possible for your potential customers.

You can add a popup or exit popup mainly designed to capture information, this way you can follow up again and make the sale later, regardless of what action you want to take. You don’t want to leave money on the table by having your visitors read your entire page and not make some sort of decision, they may take a while to think on it, so why not collect their information so you can follow up again.

State all the benefits that they will get after they buy, signup, or subscribe. Paint a virtual picture in their mind what they can expect after they hit the “Order Now” button, I have found that doing that increased conversion because, some people are not sure right away, but if you let them know ahead of time what they can expect after they buy, they will more than likely make the decision, whatever you have to do to make it easier for them to make the decision, make sure your call to action is strong.

Implementing these 3 steps will change the conversion rate of your website, your title, your web copy, and your call to action is what makes a great selling website, it causes people to take action because you have layed it out in simple steps.
