How To Maximize Your Website Conversion…

By Terrance Charles |

Often, this is one of the biggest problems in internet marketing, it’s a big key that tells us, wether our website will be successful, how well it will convert with traffic, and how much traffic do we need to maintain profitability, here’s some tips on maximizing your website conversion rate.

How to maximize your website conversion rate…

This is very important, you may think that your website doesn’t convert enough, a lot of times it’s because it’s not getting enough traffic to give you results.

Being able to test, and pinpoint exactly what your website needs is the key to website conversion success, because you know what is performing great, and what isn’t, and having that at your disposal, you can leverage it to maximize your profitability and productivity.

You need to calculate your ROI and conversion…

- Conversion Rate

Let’s say you have a product selling at $97 and you are getting 100 visitors. Let’s say that you make 1 sale, this means that your conversion is 0.01 percent because 1 devided by 100= 0.01 and that’s not a bad conversion rate, but you can make it better. You should be able to boost your sales many more times, a great conversion is 5% – 20%.

- ROI

Let’s say you have a product selling at $97 and you spent $100 to run advertising. If you made 4 sales with 100 visitors then that’s 0.04 conversion rate because 4 devided by 100=0.04 and you’ve made $388 … With that information, you know that you are making 4 sales for every 100 visitors at $97 each, so you are profiting $288 and you have leverage to continue running this advertising, and even spend more.

So that’s great to know, but you want to make sure that your website is converting atleast industry standard of 10%, but if you can maximize it to 30% – 50% that’s outstanding. It’s not hard to do actually, you need to have the main components in place to make it work, which are…

#1Website Title – The MOST important of them all, this is where people decide wether or not they are going to keep reading your website or not, it has to grab attention in less that 5 seconds, so you want to make sure you test it and find the best possible one to fit your website.

#2Drop-in Popup – This is not usually talked about, but using a drop in popup work, it does boost your subscriber list. You want to use one that drops in after 5 seconds, not right away. Make sure that you offer a free email segment, or a free product, just like a incentive for visiting, this will increase your conversion, it will either get filled out or closed, but it will serve a purpose.

#3Website Copy – The description or copywriting part of your website. Once the title has hooked your visitors, you know need this part of the puzzle to keep them reading, word for word, the more you personalize it to your target audience, the better the response and decision making.

#4Audio/Video – Adding audio or video to your website is very important, it has become more popular than ever now. The main reason for adding this is because it let’s your subscribers see who you are, so it builds a sense of trust and relationship with them, they can see your emotions, hear your voice and feel connected.

#5Call To Action – The most important last step. Imagine your visitors reading your entire website and then leave at the end, atleast you know your title and ad copy works, but there’s one big problem, your call to action.

It must tell your visitor what action you want them to take, then and there, if you want them to subscribe, signup, or purchase, you must state it clearly and give benefits and reasons why, you want to spend time testing this and adding to it. You have to test EVERYTHING on your website, this is the ONLY way you’ll know what works…

- It could be a picture change, using a more professional picture, it could be the text format used, changing it to a easier readable format.

- It could be the colors used, using more warm and comforting colors will keep your visitors on your website longer.

-It could be your navigation, you need a simple navigation to get around your website, so make sure that you evaluate everything and have traffic coming to your website right as you are testing so you get to see what change increased your bottom line.

Always remember this formula… AIDA = Attention, Interest, Desire, Action … This is how you want your website to perform.
