Staying Focused, Sticking To Your Business Plan…
By Terrance Charles | August 28, 2007
This is a very interesting and important topic. It’s something that you must follow or else your business will suffer. Do you have a plan?
Are you focused on your goals?
In order to build a strong business foundation, you have to be focused, you have to have a plan to follow.
I often get asked by marketers, why aren’t there business successful after they’ve been attending seminars, reading ebooks, maxing out their credit cards, and spending a lot of time with no results in return.
It all comes down to implementing, but more importantly, having a plan to follow every day so that you don’t loose focus on your long-term goal.
It’s VERY easy to get distracted with so many other things that are coming out, you tend to get a feeling that you will be missing out.
You won’t be missing out, it’s good to tune in what’s going on with the market, but if it doesn’t relate to your business, it’s ok to pass it up.
Write down your goals, and follow the plan…
I found that writing down your goals will give you a chart to follow every day. Evaluate your business, see what your weaknesses and your stongpoints are.
That will determine exactly what you need to work on, short-term and long-term, and as you complete them, check them off your list and keep on moving.
Build a solid foundation for your business…
When you have your plans written down and your focus glued to what you need to do, your business will run much more effectively.
Little things like having a time when your business is open or closed, that will help you with time management, let you know when you can or can’t work on your business.
I found by doing that, I stopped getting as much calls at 3:00 in the morning
because my clients know what times I am on, although it can’t be perfected since where all not on the same time zone.
How can you know where your going if you don’t know where to go. Having daily goals remind you off that, until you finish them and make new ones, your business runs much smoother and you have much more time to strengthen your business foundation.
Don’t fail to plan, or plan to fail…
That is a true statement. Before you can build a house, you need a blueprint, a layout of how you want it, so that you can follow.
The same with your business, you need instructions known as planning to let you know where your headed and what it will take to get there, your attitude should be “Whatever it takes”…
That’s the mentality you have to have, it’s a very competitive market, don’t let failing to plan set you back.
