By Terrance Charles | August 29, 2007
If your new to the internet marketing, or you are experienced - You already know that one of if not the MOST important part of any ad, website etc is the title. The title makes a difference in wether potential visitors stay on your page, or leave. If you don’t have an attention grabbing headline, it will show in your results.
How do you create effective titles?…
The 1st thing you have to understand is the different types of titles. There is a criteria you have to follow, it has been done by all successful websites and ad copy. What are the different types of titles and how do you use them?
- Titles that cause urgency.
- Titles that cause curiosity.
- Titles that tells a story/news.
- Titles that inform.
- Titles that GRAB attention.
It’s not hard to make any of these titles. TIP: Practice writing titles first, then eliminate all the other ones until you find the one that catches your attention. You have to look at it as if it catches your attention and makes you want to learn more, then you have a great title.
You have to put your whole website summary in your title. The MOST important thing you have to have in your title is the “benefit” it’s all about WIIFM or “What’s In It For Me” … If you can’t address what’s in it for your visitor, they’ll quickly leave your website, and without your title, your website doesn’t get read.
Here are some great example titles…
Here is a example of how each type works:
-Urgency
“There is ONLY 10 Packages Left… I Can’t Guarantee You’ll Get One, ONLY If You Act Fast, There Going Like Hotcakes!”
