There are so many ways to get traffic on the internet, there’s no doubt about it. Recently there has been a real explosion in the popularity of video, it’s all over content driven sites, it’s used for any and everything from news media, blogging, funny videos etc. You can tap into video, here’s how…
Using simple videos to get website traffic…
Whenever I surf the internet, like for example youtube.com and break.com I’m amazed at what I find. I see little simple videos up there that get’s hundreds of thousands of views and I’m thinking, that is some serious exposure, if only it was profitable for them.
I’ve seen simple little videos, boring videos, 2 minute vidoes that still break over 1,000 views and some are in the 1,000,000 range. This kind of exposure did not exist for everyday people before, it was either you have a high traffic website, or you were seen on television.
It’s everybody’s playing field now, it’s not just the big companies that can get that kind of exposure because of their big advertising budget. I know you seen the “overnight” internet elebrities that these videos have created, and if video can do that for average people, just imagine what it can do for your business.
Here’s how simple it is to create videos…
You don’t have to be a rocket scientist. Infact, if you have a webcam and a video recording software, usually the one that comes with your webcam, you can create easy videos and post them to youtube. It doesn’t have to be a long video, it can be as atleast 1 minute to 3 minutes, just enought time to get your message out.
You can use a 3rd party video editing software you can download free so that you can stamp your URL on the video so that it stays to the bottom corner of your video the entire time, or you can have it appear at the end of the video, leaving that to be the last image your visitors see.
What can you create? It can be anything from you getting a check from your company, or you just working in the office, or your just out having fun with your kids because your business allows you too, it doesn’t really matter what the material is, as long as it states a clear message.
Take a look at these beginner videos that pulled 1,000’s…
For example: If you make a video about you working in your office, you could make it funny, or you could make it professional but stress the point - like you can say, “Here I am working in my office and the reason why is because of my internet business, I don’t have to get up and go work for someone else, wouldn’t you like that, I’ll show you how it works” and have your website URL displayed.
Just that video alone can bring you 1,000’s of visitors. Imagine a extra 1,000 visitors to your website, if you have a good conversion rate, you can convert people that are interested into your business, and usually when you make a video like that, the people that are veiwing are people that are targeted or they won’t be at your video.
You would not believe how incredibly simple it is, I’m not saying that you can just post a video and get 5 million views in a week, but hey - even 1,000 - 5,000 visitors for that one video will result in sales, signups, and new customers, it’s the web 2.0 game. Using social networking and video entertainment sites to bring you more exposure.
So give it a try, I’m sure you already know what kind of video you can make, remember it’s not about thinking, I can’t do this, it won’t work for me - instead it’s about trying it, you can always delete the video if you want, but with the potential of 1,000’s to 1,000,000’s of visitors, what do you have to loose?
