There’s ONLY 3 Types Of Traffic… Do You Know?

Ahhh, the traffic – isn’t it one of the most beautiful words in internet marketing!? There’s a TON of ways to generate traffic, but they are ONLY 3 types of traffic, and this is a must know, do you know what they are?

There are only 3 ways to get traffic, here’s how…

#1BUY – This is the type of traffic that can be expensive or inexpensive. It requires you to purchase either an ad spot or guaranteed traffic such as expired domain traffic.

You can easily purchase traffic by going to google.com and doing a search for “text link advertising” and it will bring up many different sites where you can purchase text link advertising for example: 2 of the my most recommended sites to buy traffic is Text-Link-Ads.com and Adbrite.com.

Your prices can range frm $10 – $1000+ and last anywhere from 1 day, 1 week, 1 month or a year or two. This is a very effective type of traffic, you get what you pay for. You want to make sure that it is targeted to your website so that you get the best quality traffic.

TIP: Once you search google.com it’s easier to enter your target market, for example: If your website is about golf, you would use the keyphrase “golf” or “golfing” and it will bring up targeted websites about golf, the 1st 10 results are the ones to concentrate on once you find your exact target, remember you want to be similar but not in direct competition.

Then you can do this 2 ways. You can look to see if they offer advertising you can purchase, or your can personally write a email to the site owner requesting a advertising spot on their website for a price, it works well, give it a try.

#2BORROW – This is a very effective way to get traffic, it’s done all the time by top marketers in the industry. In can be in any form from joint ventures, trading linkbacks, search engine piggy backing etc.

It works great with joint ventures. If you are launching a product/service, you find a joint venture partner that you offer a commission too, preferably 50% – 100% no less than that. Also, it has to be a great offer that you believe in and that your joint venture partner believes in.

Once that stage is finalized, you swap traffic with each other, wether it’s from your website or through the form of email, you either offer commission on your product or cross promote each other products, and this will bring a lot of new visitors and sales to both your businesses, so it’s a win-win borrow.

You can also do this through search engines. Just leaving your comment on high traffic blogs can result in 100′s of visitors. It’s simple, once you find a high traffic blog, as long as the content is something useful to you, leave your comment with your full name for branding and your website address so that you can get return traffic from others posting and reading comments.

It’s called a indirect linkback. You indirectly linkback to your website. So when people are searching for information about that blog etc, your comments will show up when they land on the page or through a RSS feed or email publication they send out to their list.

That’s another great method, if you get a email that ask you to go to a blog, go there immediately and leave your comment with your website, because there are still 1000′s of people to come and if you are the ONLY post, that will skyrocket your traffic, and also brand your name because that’s the 1st thing they will see when their finished reading.

#3CREATE – This is one of the most challenging ones for most marketers. The concept is to create your own traffic. You can do this buy usig the power of viral marketing so that your effort is multiplied once you get it going.

It can be a contest, giveaway, prize bonus etc as long as it’s in the interest of your visitors and customers they will participate and refer potential customers to take part also, because that’s how they will enter or win the contest, giveaway or prize bonus.

Another effective way is to give away something for free. People love free stuff, it’s a proven fact. Giving away a free course or ebook will really skyrocket your traffic if you do it this way that I’m going to explain.

Find a demand product/service, create a lead capture page with a great headline, benefits in bullets and a little adcopy, give them a reason to give you their email address. Once they enter their information, they will be directed to the “thank you” page or “download page” and then you upsell, have a tell a friend script that will allow them to tell 3 – 5 more friends about it.

Offer a high value, high demand product or service in the tell a friend part of your website, make it a mystery guest, make them curious as to what it is, for example: You can say “Refer 3 more friends and get this high value mystery bonus free” and a simple tell a friend script and “thank you” or “download page” like this will really take off.

Those are the 3 types of trafffic, and they all are effective, in order to understand traffic, you have to understand the 3 types, and how each one works, different methods of using them for the most effectiveness.
