Having a blog is great, it’s very beneficial in terms of traffic, profit and natural search engine listing, it’s also fun to do. One of the most routine task for us bloggers is driving traffic to our blog, but that’s the least of it, if your blog isn’t making a great first impression, you lose out on your visitors…

The worst thing for a blogger is to make such useful content, drive traffic only to find out that people is exiting your blog as quick as they came. That’s the last thing you want to happen, your blog is like people – the first impression is where it should be the best to leave a lasting impression.
I’ve been to so many blogs that had great helpful content, but the only thing was, it was hard to read the post and the blog layout and organization threw me off, so I didn’t spend any time on it at all. Your blog should have a great layout and a clear navigation.
Everything from your “recent post” to “most popular post” should be properly laid out to make it easier on your visitor. Your blog should be clutter free, if it doesn’t serve a purpose to your visitor, you should get rid off it because it’s taking up space and server loading time, so even if visitors stay, the blog doesn’t load in time.
The layout template of your blog doesn’t have to be the best one there is, it can be anything you like, but keeping the links, images and navigation professional, will give your visitors a easier way to bookmark, subscribe to your feed, and read your post. Your blog is a reflection of you, if it’s poorly constructed, that’s how your visitors think of you, if it’s clearly constructed that will help brand a good picture in your visitors minds and they become loyal readers.
Couple Ways To Monetize Your Blog Functionality…
Post Title: You want to make sure that it’s attention grabbing, because you’ll get a lot more visitors to your blog, make them curious or interested. The post itself should be useful content that solves a problem, make their time reading worth it.
User functionability: Make it as user interactive as possible, for exampe… You can include weekly polls, or make it easier for people to comment, and participate on your blog, the more ready they’ll be to recommend it or link to it.
Testing Templates: You can test out different templates to see how your blog looks. You can see how it blends with your content, or how it brings out your personality more, and also it’s easier to add more plugins and functions to your sidebar etc.
If you make thier experience worth it, they won’t hesitate to continue reading more post that you have, they won’t hesitate to recommend your blog to others or make a linkback to your blog, and you’ll leave a lasting impression of a quality useful blog, because without it, you are losing more potential visitors, and subscribers.
