Is BlogRush Really Worth Your Blog?…
By Terrance Charles | December 5, 2007
Ok, I might get the wrong kind of buzz because of this, but who cares. By now you already know about one of the latest blogging tools called BlogRush by John Reese. When it was first launched it really took off, took a little while for everything to take place like the user interface and stats etc, but…
Does It REALLY Work?…

That’s the question. And It’s one that I have to answer and many other bloggers can answer to. I have been using it for about a month or two and although it’s layed out nice, web 2.0 function and all, it’s lacking one thing, and that’s the advertising factor. I have gotten better results with traffic exchanges in the past.
This blog get’s 1,000’s of pageviews daily and from the stats in my backoffice in blogrush, it’s not converting. The blogrush widget is on thousands of blogs around the world, so there is no reason clickthru’s should be so bad even with the greatest titles and topics.
I’ve even seen the Phase 2 video in the backoffice and the traffic that certain blog get’s is incredible BUT, when you watch throughout the video you see the page impressions from the blogrush widget and there is no reason you should have 8,777 impressions and 1 click, regardless.
So Do You Really Need BlogRush On Your Blog?…
I’m not trying to go against blogrush, but what is promised isn’t what it’s made up to be. Even if you don’t have a huge downline just your traffic from your blog alone can give you a lot of credits and blogrush impressions and you still get a poor clickthru. Now, I’m just keeping it real because if it’s not working, I’ll speak on it.
I want to hear your experience with blogrush also, good or bad, I want your feedback, so the question is…
Is BlogRush really working for you, or is it just taking up space?
YOU are a Success,

Terrance,
I was thinking the same thing the other day. Blog Rush is not providing any clicks. I’ve had them on my blog for about 1 month.
On two of my hot blog topics I had over 2,000 impressions, but my click-through rates were 1 for both postings. So I had over 4,000 impressions but only 2 clicks to my blog.
I watched the video and to Johns’ credit, he said it would take a while to get it up, so I’ll give it a little more time.

Good post Terrance. I watched their video and it seems like a good product but then read your post and have decided to pass on it. This would be something I would consider putting on my blog but I get a ton of hits through stumbleUpon, and if you get 1,000 hits a day and are getting nothing, I think I’ll save my time. Thanks.

to me it just sits there. I have not see any increase in traffic from that.

BlogRush is thrash. From over 2000 impressions in a week, my site did not get any hits, even if my headlines were very inviting. It might bring some traffic to already high traffic sites, but small/medium bloggers can skip it.

Thanks for commenting, I wouldn’t even say high
traffic sites, even those sites are still not
getting results, what’s the point of 10,000 page
impressions and 4 clicks.
Then it’s supposed to be upgraded, yada yada,
this and that but it hasn’t. It’s not even
updating the feeds from my blogs. Until it get’s
better I’ll have to say it’s a pointless waste
of time.

Well, almost 3 months after I wrote this post. I
still see no improvement in blogrush. The clicks
are still the same. One thing I noticed was that
one post I did had 1,653 impressions in a day and
almost 54 clicks…Hmmmm, now for those kind of
impressions it’s still low, but compared to 2,693
impressions and 1 click that’s a difference, but
I don’t see it going anywhere soon.
