It just smells like something that died. It's probably the gangrene that set in after the ethics bypass surgery of the mid-1980s and 90s that causing the stench. But dead or dying? I don't think so. There's still plenty of life left in the old business model yet, provided we don't fall for stupid band-aid remeides like changing the name or switching one set of media for abuse and deception to online media.
