I’ve Seen a Lot, But Faking Your Income Proof?
By Terrance Charles |
This has got to be one of the most important topics I came across lately. That’s right, there are some marketers out there that are faking thier income proof through videos and even on their websites, and it’s just down right pitiful. Some say it’s practiced in order to sell products and services on the internet, but for the people who actually believe them, it’s decieving and misleading.
Sometimes you come across some product launches and video proof and you say to yourself, something just doesn’t look real about this. You know, those “$300,000 in 1 hour claims… And to the untrained eye, and newbie to internet marketing, they’ll believe just about anything someone tells them, and that’s where the problem starts.
There is actually plugins and tutorials out there on how to do this, and it can be used with Clickbank, Paypal or any of the major affiliate merchants. Here’s a video from IMNirvana below that explains how some decieving marketers do this in couple of minutes and manipulate people to think that their product or service works.
Here is the video, you’d be surprised how it’s done…
I’m not calling names without factual proof, but I’m telling you that you have to be careful. You can’t believe everything you see and hear, but at the same time don’t doubt it either. I tend to only trust marketers that I’m familiar with and can give me proof if I ask them. Here is another proof post I found that you have to see…
That’s another thing, if someone is making a wild claim and you ask them to show proof of income for that product or service their selling, if they can’t give you real proof, your best bet is to stay away from them, because for the honest ones that are making the money they claim, they can easily send you some proof, they’ll be happy to just that…
To The TOP,

Terrance, your post caught my eye on Twitter because it sounded vaguely familiar. Turns out I posted something similar earlier this year – I guess that’s why
I’m suspect of anything that’s shown on the internet, whether screenshots, video or whatever else. It’s just too easy to doctor these things, whether with the technique that video shows or plain old Photoshop.
That’s not to say that these screenshots are never to be believed but like you say, you need to do your due diligence before spending any money. People need to look at more than just the income claims.

Terrance, It’s good to see other marketing bloggers telling the truth. Too many people in internet marketing either forget or ignore the fact that in the US we have the FTC “Truth in Advertisng” acts.
Regardless of any laws, I believe in ethical marketing. I’m a big fan of Seth Godin’s “Permission Marketing” concept and I believe you reap what you sow.
Keep sowing the positive.
